Bustling San Jose City

Located in the Central Valley it is the capital and largest city of Costa Rica. San Jose is the major transportation hub for Central America. It is the place of national government with political and economic activities on large scale. San Jose City was founded in the year 1738 by Fernandaz but until 1823 it was not declared as capital. It is one of the busiest and youngest cities in Central America. The tourism industry in San Jose City is very growing because of its art and architecture and is the most visited and well known destination among visitors. The first university of Costa Rica was established in San Jose City in the year 1843. It is one of the major ports, leading commercial center and the capital city of Cuba. It has the urban area of 3.7 million which makes this city one of the largest cities in Cuba and in the Caribbean region. The city is surrounded from the bay on west and east sides. It divides the three harbors Guanabacoa, Atares, Marimelena. While Almendares River crosses the city from south to north and enters Florida which is few miles west from the bay. In the year 1959 the growth of the city halted and after that time the city faced a loss and increase in population.
