    Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated areas in the world, being home to over seven million people, at the same time it is also the most beautiful and spectacular urban area. Even it is urbanized, it is a great fusion of eye-catching cityscapes and high mountains, heritage sites and widespread green countryside.

    The majority of population in Hongkong is Chinese, i.e. 95 percent are ethnic Chinese and 5 percent are from other group. Thus being colonial of British Empire for 160 years, Hongkong has a unique combination of western culture and eastern culture which can be seen in its infrastructural design; which is from Chinese ancestral halls to western residence buildings.

    The harbor view of the Hong Kong, just few minutes away from central, is a mixture of Manhattan and San Francisco. At the night, the whole Hong Kong glitters with the lights, buildings, decorations, etc.

    The Hong Kong is not only famous for its skyscrapers but nature lover will be stunned to see the variety of nature; wetlands, bird sanctuaries, marine parks and dolphins, many more. Thus 70 percent of Hong Kong is rural mountain, forest and outlying islands, so you can go hiking or for picnic.

    Hong Kong Park:

    It is situated amid of urban Hong Kong. The park was built in 1991and is about 8 hectares in Central. It’s a wonderful example of modern design and natural landscape. The park comprises of green house, fountain, lily ponds, playground, Hong Kong visual art centre and restaurant. It also has around 150 different species of birds.

    Statue Square:

    It’s been here since 19th century when Hong Kong used to honor the royalty since it was a colony of England. Now the place is used for gathering. On the winter fest this place becomes Santa’s town.

    The peak:

    It’s the most famous and tourist attraction spot in Hong Kong where your can see the whole Hong Kong from up. It’s the highest peak on the island.

    Western Market:

    The western market is the oldest structure and the also the oldest surviving market building on the Hong Kong island. The architectural style of the buildings is Edwardian style which was popular in England from 1901 to 1918.

    Mid-Levels Escalator:

    It is the largest outdoor escalator system in the world which covers about 800 meters distance and elevates over 135 meters from bottom to top. It was built in 1993, for the purpose to commute better from central to western districts. The escalator was also used in Batman movie.

    Wong Tai Sin Temple: The temple is famous for many prayers answered. It is situated on the southern side of the Lion Rocks in the north of Kowloon. The building is very beautiful with red pillars and golden ceiling and decorated with latticework, all this things separates this temple from the other temple in Hong Kong. During Chinese New Year, this temple is the busiest temple in Hong Kong.

    Transportation:

    If you are planning to explore new territories of Hong Kong then use public transportation and mostly you take make use of exploring by just walking around the nearby places.

    Airports:

    As Hong Kong is the main gate to china, you won’t have any problem getting flights from here.

    Light transit train: MTR are most convenient for traveling to destination quicker. It is bit costly but is more clean and fast to reach to destination.

    Ferry:

    Ferries are inexpensive when money is the matter; you can also click good photos from your cameras of Hong Kong.

    HKF provides numbers of ferries which are good to travel around Hong Kong and Kowloon. The boats are modern and comfortable; you can’t miss traveling in it.
