Hangzhou is one of the most prosperous and mystical city in china. It’s well known for its historic relics and natural scenery, especially for the West Lake. Many poets, writers and painter have been inspired by the west lake. West Lake is surrounded by the beautiful hills and tea plantations.
Hangzhou’s economy is mainly run by the tourism. But aside from the tourism, it is also fast growing in privatization and commercialization. Han Zhou is regarded as best city to do business by the Forbes.
Being the main attraction of tourism, Hang Zhou promises good time and breathtaking scenery.
Lingyin temple:
it’s a Buddhist temple, one of the largest, wealthiest and best preserved Buddhist temples in the china.
Leifeng Pagoda:
It is situated to the sunset hill of the west lake. It was built in 975 AD but in 1924 it had collapsed due to despair. Later in 2002 it was rebuilt as the city is a tourist attraction. As it is a five storey building, it gives an astonishing view across lake, garden, bridges and island.
Jiangnan stone garden:
Don’t make assumption by hearing just the name; the stones are usually same to see everywhere. But this garden has some unique stones. The stones are twisted and gnarled and the scenic and the background of the garden make it more extraordinary. The rocks come from Taihu Lake and were picked by some quarrymen. Now these rocks are eminent throughout the china and make itself a tourist spot to see.
Long nine turn bridges:
Its one of the lovers spot at the southeast corner of the west lake. The bridge is made zigzag and is just few centimeters above the water. As the whole west lake is surrounded by the spectacular scenery, on this bridge couples can sit together and forget the whole world around and can get into the scenic view of the surrounding of trees, water and nature.
Quyuan garden:
Most of the people who visited there think, this garden is a lotus garden but it’s not entirely true. The garden has lotus in it but the there are more than 200 species of lotus. The garden is closed in jade spring and Yue Fei Temple. And it is open 24 hours.
The lesser Yingzhou isle:
It’s the most scenic spot in the west lake. There are four beautiful islands on the west lake and the best one is three pools, also known as lesser Yingzhou Isle. It’s a manmade landscape, made in 1607.
The ancient street of Qinghefang:
Every town has an ancient street which later becomes tourist attraction and the main purpose of the street is lost. But the Quighefang Street is different; its still continuing for the purpose it was made for i.e. selling products. The street has many shops and stores which have past hundred years and among stores are tobacco stores, teashops, wine shops and some traditional medicines shop. The street also displays traditional decoration and is very quite as it comes under municipal protection.
West lake lotus festival:
this festival is about the blossoming of china’s favorite aquatic flower in the west lake. Different colors of flowers just look like carpet of flowers. The festival is celebrated in month of July-August which goes on whole month which is commemorate of dance, music and floral exhibition.
West lake international firework show:
It is celebrated in the mid- month of October. The west lake is lit up with the firework in the night, the whole view the amazing.
Xiaoshan International Airport is just located 17 miles downtown from Hangzhou. But the airport is still developing so there are limited scheduled international flights, which include Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Busan, Shanghai, Beijing and other 40 cities around china.
Once you get off the plane, public transport is available. Plus shuttle bus is available every 15 minutes from the city to airport and vice versa.
Railway:
Hangzhou has two rail stations; one is the central railway station of Hangzhou which inter-connected to the cities, it is near downtown and the other is small train station connected to some regional cities.

Roadway:
Many modern expressways are connected with the neighboring cities. The city has three connected expressways; Shanghai-hangzhou-ningbo, Hangzhou- nanjing, and Hangzhou-jinhua-quzhou.
